How to Get There

Fly in to Cancún and take a car to Chiquilá. At the port, take a ferry to Isla Holbox. The ferry runs every 30 minutes and costs about 200-300 pesos.

Need to Know

There are no cars on Holbox, people use bikes or golf carts to get around. Be sure to keep that in mind when packing and planning your days.

Cash is the best form of payment. The internet isn’t always reliable so be sure to bring cash with you as credit card terminals may go down and ATMs may not always have cash in them. Mexican Pesos and US Dollars are accepted.

Mosquitos also love Holbox so be sure to bring insect repellant.
